I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Before deciding on a counsellor or the best solution for yourself, you are encouraged to meet with as many counsellors and psychotherapists as feels right for you. Choosing your counsellor is an important decision and you are encouraged to take the time and support required to make the right choice for yourself.
Travelling for counselling
Some people prefer to travel some distance for counselling or psychotherapy as this helps to foster, for them, a sense of ‘distance’ between home-life and the counselling process. Others prefer to see a counsellor or psychotherapist more locally. North Shields is easily accessed by Bus and metro train directly from Newcastle and the premises are situated in a quiet, peaceful area just ten minutes walk from North Shields town centre. There is also plenty of parking available. Please ask for directions from Newcastle if required.
